All Saints’ Day Mass and Graveside Procession

All Saints’ Day will be observed within the Octave of the Feast (as has been our usual custom) at the 10 am Mass. (It is also Stewardship Sunday).

On All Saints’, we return thanks to God for the exemplary lives, witness, and continuing prayers of all the Saints.

We use this opportunity also to pray for the Repose of the Souls of all the Faithful Departed members of our parish family during the Canon of the Mass. If you have departed family members you wish to have remembered by name at the Altar, please give the printed names to Father Rasch on or before the last Sunday in October.

At the conclusion of the Mass, a procession will be formed for those in attendance who wish to follow the Rector to the grave sites of departed members and relatives for prayers, the sprinkling of the graves with holy water, and the placing of a floral bouquet on each respective headstone. This visitation takes about thirty minutes to complete, and those joining us for it may exit at any point along the way. Those not joining us, please proceed directly into the Parish Hall after Mass for refreshments.
