Our Rector

Fr. Rasch and Bishop SeelandSince April 1989, the congregation of St. Mary the Virgin has been fortunate to be served by the Very Reverend Anthony F. Rasch. Fr. Rasch currently serves as the Dean of the Deanery of Los Angeles, Diocese of the Pacific and Southwest. He also assists at Holy Apostles in Glendale and the Church of Our Saviour in Los Angeles.

Fr. Rasch formerly served as the first Rector of the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Orange, the Dean of the Deanery of Southern California, the first Rector of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament (Episcopal) in Placentia, and Associate Rector of St. Luke’s of the Mountains in La Crescenta.

He was ordained to the priesthood on March 11, 1967, after earning a Bachelor of Sacred Theology from General Theological Seminary in New York in 1966. He also studied at the College of the Resurrection in Yorkshire, England.
