We are in need of an organist to play at our services, typically up to 2 hrs for the Sunday service (hymns from the Hymnal 1940 plus service music). We have a new Rodgers Inspire Classic 227 organ and would love someone looking to build their experience to exercise it. Compensation negotiable. 20 November 2005 - Thanksgiving Day Mass

A special Thanksgiving Day Low Mass will be held at 10 am at the church. As is the tradition for the season, an ingathering of non-perishable food will be taken for delivery to the West Valley FISH.

O Praise the Lord, for it is a good thing to sing praises unto our God; * yea, a joyful and pleasant thing it is to be thankful.
The Lord doth build up Jerusalem, * and gather together the outcasts of Israel.
He healeth those that are broken in heart, * and giveth medicine to heal their sickness.
O sing unto the Lord with thanksgiving; * sing praises upon the harp unto our God:
Who covereth the heaven with clouds, and prepareth rain for the earth; * and maketh the grass to grow upon the mountains, and herb for the use of men;
Who giveth fodder unto the cattle, * and feedeth the young ravens that call upon him.
Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem; * praise thy God, O Sion.
For he hath made fast the bars of thy gates, * and hath blessed thy children within thee.
He maketh peace in thy borders, * and filleth thee with the flour of wheat.

30 September 2005 - The Pioneer Church survives the Chatsworth fires

The Pioneer Church survived the Chatsworth fire unscathed, despite the flames reaching the boundary of Oakwood Memorial Park. Thanks be to God and the many firefighters who risked their lives on the front lines. No parishoners suffered losses (other than having to clean up the ashes).
