e are followers of a Way...
- instituted by our Lord Jesus Christ
- recorded in Holy Scripture
- expressed in the Creeds and Councils of the undivided Church
- celebrated in the Sacraments
- preserved by the teaching of bishops in Apostolic Succession
- observed in the forms of the Anglican tradition
We walk this Way to grow in knowledge and love of our Lord, to strengthen the Light and resist the Darkness within and without, and to strive to live each day within the Word and still within the world. We believe that traditional worship is still valuable and relevant to contemporary society.
If you are seeking a church home or just passing through, please feel welcome.
Come unto me, all ye that travail and are heavy laden, and I will refresh you. (Matthew 11:28)
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)
So God loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son, to the end that all that believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
We are in need of an organist to play at our services, typically up to 2 hrs for the Sunday service (hymns from the Hymnal 1940 plus service music). We have a new Rodgers Inspire Classic 227 organ and would love someone looking to build their experience to exercise it. Compensation negotiable. Please see our posting at the LA American Guild of Organists website or reach out to Robert Jones (mcgyvr -at- live.com). Thank you!

Mid-Week Mass
-
This Wednesday (and the Friday and Saturday following) is an Ember Day, one of the four sets of Ember Days throughout the year (jejunia quattuor temporum or the four seasonal fasts) celebrated in the historic Western Church. The Ember Days were set aside as days of special prayer and fasting nominally tied to Lent, Whitsunday, Holy Cross Day, and Advent. The Ember observance between Whitsunday and Pentecost was referred to as the summer fast (jejunium aestivum). Traditionally, the Ember weeks have been the time for ordination of new clergy.

Weekday Masses Resume!
-
Bishop Rasch took the pulpit this past week to resume preaching. He is still recovering from his surgery, but is growing stronger every day on his diet of pureed food. He thanks all for your continued prayers for his recovery. The Pentecost Mass was celebrated by Rev. Canon Clifford Bulloch. This Wednesday will mark the return of the midweek Masses and will be the first Mass celebrated by our Bishop in over two months. For those who are able to join us, the midweek Mass will be held at 10 am.

Almighty God, who hast given us this good land for our heritage; We humbly beseech thee that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of thy favour and glad to do thy will. Bless our land with honourable industry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion; from pride and arrogancy, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united people the multitudes brought hither out of many kindreds and tongues. Endue with the spirit of wisdom those to whom in thy Name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that, through obedience to thy law, we may show forth thy praise among the nations of the earth. In the time of prosperity, fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in thee to fail; all which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
