We walk this Way to grow in knowledge and love of our Lord, to strengthen the Light and resist the Darkness within and without, and to strive to live each day within the Word and still within the world. We believe that traditional worship is still valuable and relevant to contemporary society.

We are in need of an organist to play at our services, typically up to 2 hrs for the Sunday service (hymns from the Hymnal 1940 plus service music). We have a new Rodgers Inspire Classic 227 organ and would love someone looking to build their experience to exercise it. Compensation negotiable. Lenten Retreat

This month, the Sacrament of Penance will be offered on the fourth Saturday, 28 March.
On the third Saturday (21 March), St. Michael Orthodox Church (3333 Workman Mill Road, Whittier) is hosting a Lenten Retreat from 9 am to 3 pm, conducted by Mother Melania of Saint Barbara Monastery. Lunch is included. A free-will offering will be taken. Please RSVP with Bishop Rasch so he can inform the organizers at St. Michael.

Lenten Evening (Anger)

The Lenten Wednesday Evening program continues tonight with a discussion of Anger. This meeting will be hosted at the Stipkovitch household and will include a House Mass. Please read the following verses prior to the session: Proverbs 16:17, 29, 32; Proverbs 29: 22; St. Matthew 5:22; Romans 12: 18-19; Ephesians 4:26-27.

The Lenten Wednesday Evening program continues tonight with a discussion of Pride. This meeting will be hosted at the Martin’s and will include Evening Prayer. Please pre-read Proverbs 16:18, Proverbs 29:23, Romans 16:17-18, I Corinthians 1:10-13, Phillippians 2:3, I Timothy 3:6, Titus 3:1-3, and James 4:11-2.

Lenten Wednesday Evenings

The Lenten Wednesday Evening program begins tonight. Each meeting will consist of a House Mass or Evening Prayer followed by a meatless potluck supper and discussion. This year, the Lenten study will revolve around the Seven Deadly Sins. Please bring your Bible and Prayer Book to the session.
