We are followers of a Way...

  • instituted by our Lord Jesus Christ
  • recorded in Holy Scripture
  • expressed in the Creeds and Councils of the undivided Church
  • celebrated in the Sacraments
  • preserved by the teaching of bishops in Apostolic Succession
  • observed in the forms of the Anglican tradition

We walk this Way to grow in knowledge and love of our Lord, to strengthen the Light and resist the Darkness within and without, and to strive to live each day within the Word and still within the world. We believe that traditional worship is still valuable and relevant to contemporary society.

If you are seeking a church home or just passing through, please feel welcome.

Come unto me, all ye that travail and are heavy laden, and I will refresh you. (Matthew 11:28)

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)

So God loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son, to the end that all that believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

We are in need of an organist to play at our services, typically up to 2 hrs for the Sunday service (hymns from the Hymnal 1940 plus service music). We have a new Rodgers Inspire Classic 227 organ and would love someone looking to build their experience to exercise it. Compensation negotiable. Please see our posting at the LA American Guild of Organists website or reach out to Robert Jones (mcgyvr -at- live.com). Thank you!

11 January 2009 - Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2009

As has been our custom for several years, we will observe the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity with our special guest preacher, The Reverend Darnell Coleman, an ordained Baptist minister serving at Greater Community Missionary Baptist Church in Pacoima. Please join us at 10 am on 18 January.

23 December 2008 - Christmas Service Schedule

This year, our Christmas Eve service will begin at 10:30 pm with the carol service, followed at 11:00 pm with the High Mass of the Nativity.

Please note that this year there will be no Christmas Day Morning Mass.

16 November 2008 - Bishop Rasch and Fire Updates

Bishop Rasch will be released from the rehabilitation center and be allowed to return to his home. He will continue rehabilitation on an out patient basis. His recovery is progressing well – much faster than anticipated. Please continue to pray for his recovery.

Canon Bullock was unable to join us today due to the freeway closures due to the Triangle Complex fire. Please keep him (and all our brethren affected by the fire) in your prayers.

We beseech thee, Almighty God, to pour thy blessing upon the fire fighters and police of our land: strengthen and preserve them in every danger; that they, who protect our lives and property while they faithfully perform their duties, may so serve thee here that they fail not finally to attain thy heavenly promises. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

8 November 2008 - Bishop Rasch Continues His Recovery

Bishop Rasch has been allowed to leave the hospital and is now at a skilled nursing facility and rehabilitation center:

Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

30 October 2008 - Bishop Rasch Update

Updated 1 November 2008: Bishop Rasch is still in the ICU but is no longer on the ventilator. He is scheduled to remain in the hospital for at least two more weeks. He reminds us all to vote on Tuesday, as there are several propositions that could significantly impact our church community and its leaders and our Constitutional rights to practice religious freedom.

Bishop Rasch successfully underwent quadruple bypass surgery this afternoon and is resting comfortably. Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers.

Almighty God, who hast given us this good land for our heritage; We humbly beseech thee that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of thy favour and glad to do thy will. Bless our land with honourable industry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion; from pride and arrogancy, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united people the multitudes brought hither out of many kindreds and tongues. Endue with the spirit of wisdom those to whom in thy Name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that, through obedience to thy law, we may show forth thy praise among the nations of the earth. In the time of prosperity, fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in thee to fail; all which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
