e are followers of a Way...
- instituted by our Lord Jesus Christ
- recorded in Holy Scripture
- expressed in the Creeds and Councils of the undivided Church
- celebrated in the Sacraments
- preserved by the teaching of bishops in Apostolic Succession
- observed in the forms of the Anglican tradition
We walk this Way to grow in knowledge and love of our Lord, to strengthen the Light and resist the Darkness within and without, and to strive to live each day within the Word and still within the world. We believe that traditional worship is still valuable and relevant to contemporary society.
If you are seeking a church home or just passing through, please feel welcome.
Come unto me, all ye that travail and are heavy laden, and I will refresh you. (Matthew 11:28)
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)
So God loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son, to the end that all that believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
We are in need of an organist to play at our services, typically up to 2 hrs for the Sunday service (hymns from the Hymnal 1940 plus service music). We have a new Rodgers Inspire Classic 227 organ and would love someone looking to build their experience to exercise it. Compensation negotiable. Please see our posting at the LA American Guild of Organists website or reach out to Robert Jones (mcgyvr -at- live.com). Thank you!

57th Annual National Day of Prayer
-
This Thursday marks the 57th annual National Day of Prayer. The theme for 2008 comes from Psalm 28:7, “The Lord is my strength and shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped.” Please remember our nation in your prayers today.

The 2008 Prayer for the Nation
by Dr. Ravi Zacharias
Holy Father, in a world where so many are hungry,
You have given us food in abundance;
In a world where so many are hurting,
You offer to bind up our wounds;
In a world where so many are lonely,
You offer friendship to every heart;
In a world longing for peace,
You offer hope.
Yet, we are so stubborn and resistant.
Have mercy upon us, Lord.
Our nation is at a crossroads this year;
we look to you to be our strength and shield.
Please give us the guidance to elect one who will honor you
and to respond to the wisdom from above
so that our hope may be renewed and our blessings be treasured.
In God’s holy name

Congratulations and welcome into the Body of Christ to our “Miracle Baby”, Kathryn Dianne! Congratulations also to her proud parents, Shannon and Tony; her new godparents Annie, Beth, and Steven; and to the families.
Almighty God, heavenly Father, who hast blessed us with the joy and care of children; Give us light and strength so to train them, that they may love whatsoever things are true and pure and lovely and of good report, following the example of their Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen

Almighty God, who hast given us this good land for our heritage; We humbly beseech thee that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of thy favour and glad to do thy will. Bless our land with honourable industry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion; from pride and arrogancy, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united people the multitudes brought hither out of many kindreds and tongues. Endue with the spirit of wisdom those to whom in thy Name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that, through obedience to thy law, we may show forth thy praise among the nations of the earth. In the time of prosperity, fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in thee to fail; all which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
