We are followers of a Way...

  • instituted by our Lord Jesus Christ
  • recorded in Holy Scripture
  • expressed in the Creeds and Councils of the undivided Church
  • celebrated in the Sacraments
  • preserved by the teaching of bishops in Apostolic Succession
  • observed in the forms of the Anglican tradition

We walk this Way to grow in knowledge and love of our Lord, to strengthen the Light and resist the Darkness within and without, and to strive to live each day within the Word and still within the world. We believe that traditional worship is still valuable and relevant to contemporary society.

If you are seeking a church home or just passing through, please feel welcome.

Come unto me, all ye that travail and are heavy laden, and I will refresh you. (Matthew 11:28)

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)

So God loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son, to the end that all that believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

We are in need of an organist to play at our services, typically up to 2 hrs for the Sunday service (hymns from the Hymnal 1940 plus service music). We have a new Rodgers Inspire Classic 227 organ and would love someone looking to build their experience to exercise it. Compensation negotiable. Please see our posting at the LA American Guild of Organists website or reach out to Robert Jones (mcgyvr -at- live.com). Thank you!

15 March 2020 - Holy Week Schedule

Post will be updated as conditions change, but the current plan approved by the Vestry is to continue with Holy Week services.

Update: Due to the current Los Angeles county response to the COVID-19 outbreak, we are determining the best way to move our services online for the duration. This means that Parish work parties are cancelled for now. We are also going to cancel our Maundy Thursday evening Mass, but we will be going forward with a streamed Liturgy of Good Friday and a celebration of Easter Sunday.

  • 4 April and 11 April, 10 am – Parish work party to decorate the Church. All hands are welcome!
  • 5 April, 10 am – Palm Sunday Morning Prayer
  • 9 April, 7 pm – Maundy Thursday evening Mass cancelled this season
  • 10 April, 12 pm – Liturgy of Good Friday
  • 12 April, 10 am – Celebration of the Resurrection
    • Please find a bell to ring after the intonation of the Gloria
    • Ladies, go ahead and wear your Easter bonnets – you won’t be blocking anyone else’s view this year!
    • Bishop Bulloch will be our virtual celebrant for the Mass.

23 February 2020 - Lenten Schedule
  • Tuesday, 2/25 – 5:30 pm – Shrove Tuesday pancake supper at the Martin residence

  • Sunday, 3/1 – 10:00 am – Morning Prayer with Imposition of Ashes

Our Lenten Wednesday discussion series will focus on walking the path of Jesus’ life through the Gospels. Read each day (a wonderful Lenten discipline!) and join us on Wednesday evening to discuss the week’s readings. Reading schedule may be found here.

Please note that the vestry is looking for candidates to serve as delegates to the Diocesan Synod to be held 20-22 May in Alpine, CA. Please contact any member of the vestry to register your interest. To serve as a delegate, you must be a member in good standing of the Diocese.

Almighty God, who hast given us this good land for our heritage; We humbly beseech thee that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of thy favour and glad to do thy will. Bless our land with honourable industry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion; from pride and arrogancy, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united people the multitudes brought hither out of many kindreds and tongues. Endue with the spirit of wisdom those to whom in thy Name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that, through obedience to thy law, we may show forth thy praise among the nations of the earth. In the time of prosperity, fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in thee to fail; all which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
